Call for Papers

Themes and Topics 

​

We welcome paper submissions and poster presentations on any topics surrounding refugee and forcibly displaced issues. We commit to a multidisciplinary approach and welcome original contributions from any fields and methodological approaches.  

Location  

The conference will take place at the Khazanah Auditorium, Asia School of Business, Kuala Lumpur. This is primarily an in-person conference with events taking place at the Asia School of Business.  

 

Proposal Submissions for Papers and Posters 

 

Paper proposals should consist of a title and 300-word abstract that specifies the research question, describes the approach used, and gives an indication of the conclusions. Paper presentations at the conference will generally be brief (c. 15-20 minutes) to allow as much discussion time as possible. Abstracts will be reviewed for suitability in terms of the conference themes. We welcome submissions from researchers from any disciplinary perspective.

Aside from full-length paper presentations, we also welcome poster presentations from graduate students, researchers, practitioners, academics, and members of refugee communities to be displayed throughout the length of the workshop. To submit a poster presentation proposal, please send the following to research.workshop@asb.edu.my

  • Title of poster 

  • Names of authors 

  • Summary of poster

The deadline for proposal submissions for both papers and posters is 1st of May, 2023. Paper and poster participants will be informed of their acceptance status on 15th of May, 2023. Full papers will be expected to be circulated to participants by 1st of June, 2023.
